Febuary Art Every Day

I was inspired by other bloggers to try art everyday so I picked February as the month I would begin. My goal is one month, so we'll see. I have set aside a specific time everyday and I have asked my family to respect this time when I am in my studio as a Do Not Disturb time. I am excited about this venture.

I would not call this my favorite piece, but it felt so good to get paintbrushes back in my hands and move some paint around.
Oh the mud that was created!

Here is a picture of my palette. If any one has any suggestions for better palette management I would love to hear them.

This is an icicle hanging off of our neighbors roof.
It looks like fingers...cool!

Ever since I read your Art Every Day post, I, the non-artist, have been super inspired. I love the painting you posted. But, for me, I have never been gifted at painting or things like that. I love the idea, but it just does not work for me. That said, you completely inspired me to find some creative outlet in the midst of my everyday life. I do like to be creative, but it is hard to define sometimes. Like I wrote, I don’t paint, I love music, but am not gifted musically, clay-tried that, it was fun, but I am not gifted, nor does it fit into my life right now. I have been thinking of ways to incorporate creative expression into my life each day (the “art every day” concept) and realizing that I don’t have to fit in some box. I can express and create in whatever ways seem to work for me. That means that I can express my creativity in my cooking or in crafts that I do on my own or with my kids or in decorating my home…Thank you for putting that concept on the table for me. I am now actively seeking to pursue “Art Every Day” in the sense of being purposeful in bringing creativity into my life. It is such a healthy outlet! Thank you!
